I love you without knowing how, or when, or from where

I've had a lot on my mind these past couple of days...a lot about love. Is it possible to love too much? To become so concentrated on one person and to put all your heart into that person that the only thing that matters, is not how they feel about you, or how they can please you, but how you can protect them in every way, and how you can show them love without them asking for it.

......Well anyway, I found this poem, and it clearly show's how I've loved/still love someone in my life.
It's beautiful, and it says the words I can not say, and I know this isn't a very Jesus filled post, but God created love, and this poem show's its beauty.

I do not love you as if you were salt-rose, or topaz,
or the arrow of carnations the fire shoots off.
I love you as certain dark things are to be loved,
in secret, between the shadow and the soul.

I love you as the plant that never blooms
but carries in itself the light of hidden flowers;
thanks to your love a certain solid fragrance,
risen from the earth, lives darkly in my body.

I love you without knowing how, or when, or from where.
I love you straightforwardly, without complexities or pride;
so I love you because I know no other way

than this: where I does not exist, nor you,
so close that your hand on my chest is my hand,
so close that your eyes close as I fall asleep.
~ Pablo Neruda
