Ester 4:16
Oh if i could have faith like Ester. everyday i read this bible verse I can not help but realize the strength that Ester had in the power of God. If only I could have faith like Ester to stand up in situations that are unclear and turbulent and know that God will provide the answer and if the answer requires that I parish then I parish. I think we as humans, have a tendency to believe that we know what is good for us. we feel that everything can be taken into our own hands and God is only there to concur with our decisions. If we look at the story of Ester however, we know that God had a plan for her life. It did not require her taking matters into her own hands, and it did not require her putting God on the bench.
How many times have we placed ourselves before God and assumed that we know how to fix a situation. Even in my own life I see myself acting as if my life is in my hands and God is just a sideline cheerleader, when in actuality if I were to open my eyes and see the seriousness of my situation, I would know that God is the driving force behind every good decision that I have ever made in my life.
I think that sometimes I need to learn to be more like Ester. God is calling me to dedicate my life to him and to relinquish every fiber of my being to him. as he did with Ester, If I allow it' God will give me the courage that i need to face another day and I won't have to worry about making decisions and the effects those decisions will have on my life.
